PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
AMHigley served as Construction Manager at Risk for the Patterson Fitness Center that features:
- An Olympic-sized swimming pool with a 350-seat spectator area
- A 1,500-seat basketball and volleyball arena
- A 10,000-SF recreational gymnasium for intramural sports
- A 200-meter indoor track
- Four indoor tennis courts with a small spectator balcony
- A locker-room suite
- Two dry saunas, two steam saunas, and two family changing rooms
- A 12,500-SF weight and fitness room
- A dining area, a study lounge, multipurpose rooms and four classrooms
- A 120-seat auditorium/movie theater and a broadcast video lab
- Eight squash courts and four racquetball courts
- A renovated outdoor track and football field.
PROJECT ACHIEVEMENTS:
- Named the No. 1 Athletic Facility in the country in 2013 and 2016 by the Princeton Review
- Fast-tracked construction to secure a weather-tight structure before the onset of winter weather
- Construction completed accident free
