PROJECT DESCRIPTION
AMHigley served as Construction Manager at Risk for the $22 million academic building addition and renovation and the $2 million, 4,000 SF White House alterations. The scope of Stirn Hall, the Upper School academic building, comprises of 52,300 SF in new construction and 30,000 SF in renovations. The 21st Century Learning Commons will create open and flexible signature spaces for small groups, individual studying, and multidisciplinary collaboration and will house the Lucier Family Writing Center and Learning Support Center. New specialty spaces include the Miller Fabrication Lab, Media Lab, Media Production Studio and Screening Room, allowing for expansion of Hawken’s Entrepreneurship and Media Studies programs. The building will also comprise of extensive skylights and two-story courtyards to introduce natural light deep into the building. The projects will complete in time for the 2016-2017 academic year.
